Retro Classic Cars Online Club
Machines of bygone years. They say that they have a soul, and sometimes, looking into their headlights-eyes, it may really seem that they are, that these mechanisms are alive and now they are just resting, they are just tired, they will rest and again go on a long journey, through cities and villages, forest paths and deserts, along winter roads, and clinging to rocks – along dangerous cliffs of mountain roads. And they will show the current same-type plastic automotive mass market who has power over the road, over time and eras.
How interesting it was in childhood to collect collections of cars, especially these were models of old cars. Retro car is the dream of any collector. As an adult, I would also like to have such a collection, but no longer toy ones.
Rare Vintage Cars
Now there are many exhibitions, auctions, where rare cars are presented that you can buy for yourself or at least look at them. It is clear that retro cars are far from cheap, the older the car, the more expensive it is. A rare car is considered to be a car over twenty-five years old. Each car has its own history and probably it is in the price. The exhibitions contain collections of retro cars of different brands and manufacturers, different years of production. There are also cars from the times of the USSR, as well as cars from foreign countries, such as Elvis Presley’s Cadillac. There are also cars that have been featured in famous films such as the Ferrari from Charlie’s Angels, the 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7, the 1937 Rolls Royse Phantom, the 1974 AMC Hornet X Hatchback, from the James Bond movie 007. Of course, foreign cars are much more expensive than Soviet ones, because they are known to the whole world.
The most expensive car models in the world: Bugatti Royale Kellner Coupe 1931, worth about ten million dollars; Mercedes-Benz W 196 1954, the price is somewhere around twenty million dollars; Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa 1957, cost approximately fifteen million dollars. To date, the most expensive car is the 1954 Mercedes-Benz. This car was put up for auction and was sold to a collector for a record amount of thirty million dollars. Mercedes was a Formula 1 driver and won the Grand Prix Championship in 1955.
Oldtimers, retro cars, vintage cars, you can call them differently, but they all embody the soul and passion together, and it doesn’t matter already, this is the Aston Martin DB5 of the 64th year, or its peer, our modest Moskvich, at one time on Equal traveled many European rally routes, Volvo PV60 or its overseas counterpart Ford De Luxe, all of them are honorary centenarians of those best days of the automotive era, when the cars differed in everything, and not just in the name, each was unique in its own way.
This channel is dedicated to oldtimers, the main mission of the channel will be the restoration of at least one copy of any retro car.
